What is Industrial IoT?

The Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) describes a network of devices such as sensors, manufacturing appliances and computers. It applies the concept of Internet of Things to industrial environments. Besides, for example, controlling processes in a plant, the Industrial Internet of Things enables holistic machine monitoring and can be applied to improve production efficiency.
