Kubernetes is an Open Source Environment, which enables the management and scaling of automated deployments of containerized software packages. The system is widely adopted and plays a central role in today’s container virtualization, as it facilitates and accelerates automation processes and scaling applications significantly.
Virtualized applications share a common operating system and hardware resource. At the same time these applications are encapsulated from direct access to the host system. One of the benefits of Kubernetes is a reduced overhead management of applications through individual dependency and configuration management, individually tailored to the applications within these containers. Snapshots allow a basic system to be replaced quickly or moving a container to another hardware and therefore reduces cost-intensive downtime. Kubernetes’ role is to deploy and manage these containers on target systems.
The success stories of our customers show how the strategic decision for a Factory Data Hub brings future-proof scalability.
